A number of people wrote in their reviews that the product was well made. Andrew Johns gave it a rating of 5 stars and he mentioned “Hinges are nice and solid with no play”. David Lammin wrote “I'm in 2nd year doing a degree in computing and needed a solid laptop, I decided on t420” in his review of the Lenovo T420. Greyowl scored the Lenovo T420 5 stars and said in their review four years ago “Until you need a laptop that you know will work ( for engineering ) and take a fair amount of wear”.

Expert review site Laptopmag.com said in their review of the Lenovo T420 “With its epic battery life, awesome keyboard, solid sound, durable design”. Laptopmag.com also mentioned “The HP EliteBook 8460p has a more attractive design”.

Some customers reckoned that the product was good looking. Carlos said on Amazon “The lid has a pretty impressive scratch on the surface” nonetheless he scored it 60 out of 100. One customer who purchased this laptop mentioned that it was ergonomic.

Fifteen Lenovo T420 owners concluded that it was good value for money. A. Nassar rated the product as very good and mentioned in their review of this laptop on Amazon “Good price”. Amazon Customer wrote “They was very helpful and offered money back or to exchange” in their Lenovo T420 review. Daniel Foreman said on Amazon “Now I have to go out and buy another laptop charger adding to the cost, even though they clearly advertized a genuine charger” in his review but in spite of that he only gave it a rating of 1 stars.

A number of Lenovo T420 reviewers wrote in their reviews that the Lenovo T420 was a bargain for the price. David Lammin wrote two years ago “I'm now trying find a reason to buy another, absolute bargain, thank you Edge Computers” . In January last year John Murtagh said on Amazon “I needed a good cheap system for running Ubuntu” in his Lenovo T420 review and scored the product very highly. Mr. C. E. Oates wrote on Amazon “However it is what I wanted - a decent cheap well made machine” in their review.

Unfortunately it didn't have a webcam.” and scored the product 4 stars.
