Reasonably Priced

A few HP L2045 reviewers who reviewed it agreed that it was good value for money. Howstuffworks.com wrote “Good value for general-purpose home or business use, multiple adjustment options include pivot, clear text” but despite that they scored the product 3 stars. Howstuffworks.com also said “Absolutely affordable Widescreen USB 2.0 hub built in Rotates to Landscape Portrait modes VGA DVI inputs Height”. Expert website Alphr.com mentioned “A decent 20in widescreen TFT for the office, with a flexible stand, USB hub and an affordable price”.

Inferior Picture Quality

One HP L2045 owner who reviewed this PC monitor said that it did not have a good contrast ratio. Howstuffworks.com wrote in their HP L2045 review “Yesteryear 600 1 contrast ratio Unnecessarily wide footprint DVI cable not included” and rated the HP L2045 3 stars.

Does Not Have a Built-In Speaker(s)

The HP L2045 does not have a built-in speaker(s), although it is worth keeping in mind that most of the other flatpanel monitors that have been on the market for a comparable time to the L2045 also do not have a built-in speaker(s).

Not 3D

The HP L2045 is not 3D. Most of the other PC monitors of a similar type and age to the L2045 are also not 3D.

Flatpanel monitors which are 3D that might be worth looking at include the Philips 272G5DYEB/93, the NEC MultiSync P241, or the Zalman TM270VA which is also higher rated.

Does Not Have a Built-In Camera

Like most of the other PC monitors of a similar age and type to the L2045, the HP L2045 does not have a built-in camera.

There are a number of alternative flatpanel monitors which also have a built-in camera which you might also want to look at including the Compaq LA2206, or the W2448hc both from HP or the Viewsonic VG2437mc which is also higher rated.

Does Not Have a Card Reader Integrated

The HP L2045 does not have a card reader integrated, although it is worth noting that most of the other comparable spec PC displays that were released around the same time as the L2045 also do not have a card reader integrated.

We compared all the other flatpanel monitors which also have a card reader integrated to this LCD screen and we think the UP2414Q (£449.00), the UP2715K (£596.00), or the UP3214Q (£598.80) all from DELL which is also higher rated is also worth considering.
