I own an older Dell Optiplex computer, and it's been rock solid for about 8 years, so that weighed heavily in my decision...

I selected this machine for a couple of reasons. I wanted Win 7 Pro because of its XP mode so I can continue to use an older, very expensive scanner, and I needed a legacy PCI slot
I recently helped a non-tech-savvy person set up a "store bought" PC from another manufacturer, and I was literally appalled at the amount of junkware that was pre-installed on that computer. One item
This Dell arrived with ZERO junkware on it. That made setting it up a pleasure instead of an ordeal
I'm not a power user, and I'm not a gamer, I just wanted a good solid reliable machine for my home business and for my personal use. This one fits the bill nicely
The machine arrived with a bad CDDVD drive, but Dell sent me a replacement quickly with zero hassle
I also found the Dell website somewhat lacking as it made it difficult to find detailed technical specs on their products
