The MeLE PCG09 has a Flash storage media which is faster than most desktop computers that were launched more than a year ago. Most PCs that have been around for around the same time as it have an HDD storage media. Flash Drives store information in transistors on a circuit board rather than on optical or magnetic media. This has the advantage of being much faster than a traditional HDD drive. The best storage speed of all similar spec personal computers that have been around for a comparable time to the PCG09 is SSD and the worst is HDD.
We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative Flash PCs currently available including the Zotac ZBOX PI320 which has better reviews.
Computers with a faster storage speed that might also be worth considering include the Lenovo P300 Tower (SSD) which also has a higher rating.
