1920 X 1200 (WUXGA) Supported Graphics Resolutions

The highest resolution supported by the LV-8227A is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). That's 20% more resolution than a 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) projector, which is the most common resolution supported by comparable spec multimedia projectors that have been on the market for more than two years. 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) is also supported by this projector. In addition, this multimedia projector support supported graphics resolutionss of 1024 x 768 (XGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1280 x 768 (WXGA), 1400 x 1050 (SXGA+) and 640 x 480 (VGA) and 800 x 600 (SVGA).

A 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) supported graphics resolutions is actually the best supported resolution across all comparable spec data projectors that are a similar age to the LV-8227A.

Across similar types of data projector the worst supported resolution is 640 x 480 (VGA).

Does Not Support 3D

Most 3000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been available for around the same time as the LV-8227A do not support 3D. The LV-8227A is no exception to this as it too does not support 3D.

We compared all the other projectors which also support 3D to this projector and we think the NP-M311W, or the NP-V311X both from NEC or the Optoma EX685 is also worth considering.

Does Not Support Full HD

The Canon LV-8227A does not support full HD. Most of the other projectors of this spec and age also do not support full HD.

We compared all the other multimedia projectors which also support full HD to this data projector and we think the Benq SH960, the Hitachi CP-WX8255A, or the Vivitek D8300 is also worth considering.

Does Not Support Wi-Fi

Most data projectors of this type and age do not support wi-Fi. The Canon LV-8227A is no exception to this as it too does not support wi-Fi.

There are a number of alternative multimedia projectors which also support wi-Fi which you might also want to consider including the EB-430 LW, the EB-1400WI, or the BrightLink 436Wi all from Epson.

The dimmest projector brightness of projectors of a similar age and spec to the LV-8227A is 100 ANSI lumens, the brightest is 8,000 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 3,500 ANSI lumens. The Canon LV-8227A has a quite dim projector brightness (only 2,500 ANSI lumens) compared to most of the other data projectors of this type and age.

If this 3000:1 contrast ratio projector projector brightness is not bright enough for you then you might also want to look at the VS210 (2,600 ANSI lumens and higher rated), the 475Wi (£1,290.00) (2,600 ANSI lumens and higher rated), or the BrightLink 475WI (2,600 ANSI lumens and higher rated) all from Epson.
