Expert website Pcmag.com mentioned “Below the Epson PowerLite 955W WXGA 3LCD Projector$899.00 at Epson, our Editors' Choice for lightweight” and gave the product a rating of 80 out of 100. Pcmag.com also said “The Epson PowerLite 99W WXGA 3LCD Projector is lightweight”.

Expert website Projectorreviews.com said “Pocket projectors, is nevertheless a compact model that could be considered a portable projector that could easily be moved between classrooms or conference rooms” in their review of this projector.

Inferior Remote Control

One customer who reviewed the Epson PowerLite 99W considered that it did not have a good remote control. Pc Mag mentioned in their review of the Epson PowerLite 99W on PC Mag “Remote can be difficult to operate in a dark room, since it has no backlight, dust filter that must be maintained” yet they still scored the product 4 stars.
