The Genius BV180 does not have a built-in speaker(s). Most of the other projectors of this age and spec do have a built-in speaker(s).

We compared this projector to all the other multimedia projectors with a built-in speaker(s) and we think the Benq GP2 which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

Very Dim Projector Brightness

The average projector brightness of data projectors that were released more than two years ago is 470 ANSI lumens, and the projector brightnesss range from 12 ANSI lumens to 5,500 ANSI lumens. At only 35 ANSI lumens, the Genius BV180 has a fairly dim projector brightness compared to most of the other battery powered projectors that came out around the same time as the BV180.

It may also be worth also looking at one of the other 35 ANSI lumens brightness projectors currently available including because of it's better review score, the Aiptek MobileCinema A50P (£175.37).

If you are looking for a multimedia projector with a brighter projector brightness then you might want to look at the Aiptek MobileCinema i55 (£159.00) (50 ANSI lumens), or the Philips PPX4350 (£245.22) (50 ANSI lumens).
