That's 8% more resolution than a 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) multimedia projector, which is the most common resolution supported by 3000:1 contrast ratio projectors that are a comparable age to the M361X. 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) is also supported by this projector. We compared this multimedia projector to all the other 28dB noise level projectors and we think the UM280 (£870.16), the M311 (£513.27), and the UM330 (£1,177.06) all from NEC which has better reviews is also worth considering.

Does Not Support 3D

The NEC M361X does not support 3D. Most of the other multimedia projectors that have been around for around the same time as the M361X also do not support 3D.

We think you might also be interested in alternative multimedia projectors which also support 3D including the NP-M311W, or the NP-V311X both from NEC or the Optoma EW695.

Does Not Support Full HD

Like most of the other data projectors that were launched around the same time as the M361X, the NEC M361X does not support full HD.

We think you might also be interested in other projectors which also support full HD including the Benq SH960, the Epson 475Wi, or the Hitachi CP-WX8255A.

Does Not Support Wi-Fi

Most 3000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been available for a similar time to the M361X do not support wi-Fi. The NEC M361X is no exception to this as it too does not support wi-Fi.

There are a number of alternative projectors which also support wi-Fi which you might also want to look at including the EB-430 LW, or the BrightLink 436Wi both from Epson which also has a higher rating.

At 3,600 ANSI lumens, the NEC M361X has a fairly average projector brightness compared to most of the other 3000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been on the market for more than two years.

If this projector projector brightness is not bright enough for you then you might want to consider the Sony VPL-EW276 (3,700 ANSI lumens), the Panasonic PT-VW340 (3,700 ANSI lumens), or the Hitachi CP-WX4022 (£912.00) (4,000 ANSI lumens) which also has a higher rating.
