Across all the projectors of a comparable age and type to the NP-P451 the projector brightnesss range from 500 ANSI lumens to 13,000 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 3,700 ANSI lumens. At 4,500 ANSI lumens, the NP-P451 has a quite bright projector brightness compared to most of the other comparable spec projectors that were released more than two years ago.

1600 X 1200 (UXGA) Supported Graphics Resolutions

The NEC NP-P451 supports a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). That's over six times the resolution of the most frequently found supported graphics resolutions of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this projector). This NEC projector also support supported graphics resolutionss of 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1280 x 800 (WXGA) and 1400 x 1050 (SXGA+) and 800 x 600 (SVGA).

This projector's resolution (1600 x 1200 (UXGA)) is in fact the best supported resolution amongst all 4000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been on the market for a similar time to the NP-P451.
