At only 1,600 ANSI lumen, the Optoma HD83 has a fairly dim projector brightness compared to most of the other data projectors that are a similar age to this multimedia projector. The dimmest projector brightness of multimedia projectors that were released more than two years ago is 75 ANSI lumens and the brightest is 11,000 ANSI lumens.

If this projector projector brightness is not bright enough for you then you might want to consider the Benq W7500 (£1,685.55) (2,000 ANSI lumens and cheaper).
