9 Reasons For

Optoma Has Good Reviews for Its Projectors

We calculated the average reviews for all Optoma projectors and also specifically for Optoma multimedia projectors and found that in both cases Optoma had good reviews compared to other brands.

Low Running Costs

Based on average usage levels and energy prices we estimate that the 1 year running cost of the W310 is only £76, which makes it one of the more economic to run multimedia projectors that were launched more than a year ago.

Easy to Use

One Optoma W310 owner mentioned in their reviews that this projector was easy to setup. Mr. Malcolm Lucas wrote in his Optoma W310 review in October last year “Good bright picture and easy to set up”.

Good 3D Picture Quality

One Optoma W310 owner who bought the product considered that it had a good 3D picture quality. M J Hillerby rated it 5 stars and mentioned “I use it on HDMI and the 3D is great” in their review of this projector.

Acceptable Noise Level

One Optoma W310 owner who purchased it concluded that it was noisy. M J Hillerby mentioned “Although a little noisier this a a great machine” in their review of this projector.

Supports 3D

The Optoma W310 supports 3D. Most of the other projectors of this spec and age also support 3D.

There are a number of other projectors which support 3D currently available that you might want to consider including because of it's better review score, the PJD5255[pl_2831063_price], or the PJD5250[pl_2895208_price] both from Viewsonic or the Vivitek Qumi Q6[plb_3137053_price].

Has a Built-In Speaker(s)

Like most of the other multimedia projectors that have been around for around the same time as the W310, the Optoma W310 has a built-in speaker(s).

We compared this projector to all the other projectors with a built-in speaker(s) and we think because of it's better review score, the Vivitek Qumi Q6[plb_3137053_price], the Viewsonic PJD5255[plb_2831063_price], and the Infocus IN116[plb_2875852_price] is also worth considering.

1600 X 1200 (UXGA) Supported Graphics Resolutions

The Optoma W310 supports a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). That's over six times the resolution of a 640 x 480 (VGA) multimedia projector, which is the most frequently found resolution supported by projectors of this type and age. 640 x 480 (VGA) is also supported by this Optoma projector. This projector also support supported graphics resolutionss of 1024 x 768 (XGA) and 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) and 800 x 600 (SVGA). Across all data projectors that have been on the market for a similar time to the W310 the best resolution is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) and the worst is 640 x 480 (VGA).

Chart Edit

5 Reasons Against

Not Good in Terms of Size

One Optoma W310 owner who reviewed it considered that it was not heavy and bulky. M J Hillerby mentioned in their Optoma W310 review on Amazon last year “There were white dots everywhere, as the unit had not let me down in heavy use for 6 years I could not complain”.

Does Not Support Full HD

Most multimedia projectors that are a similar age to the W310 do not support full HD. The Optoma W310 is no exception to this as it too does not support full HD.

Chart Edit
