Across all the projectors of this age and type the projector brightnesses range from 700 ANSI lumens to 11,000 ANSI lumens. At only 2,800 ANSI lumens, the Optoma X300 has a fairly dim projector brightness compared to most of the other data projectors that were released around the same time as this data projector.

We compared this projector to all the other 2,800 ANSI lumens brightness projectors and we think the PJD6235, and the PJD5533W both from Viewsonic which has better reviews is also worth considering.

Data projectors with a brighter projector brightness that might also be worth looking at include the Vivitek D552 (£325.00) (3,000 ANSI lumens).
