Quite Bright Projector Brightness

With a projector brightness of 3,500 ANSI lumens, the PT-TX400 has a fairly bright projector brightness compared to most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio projectors that came out around the same time as this projector. The dimmest projector brightness of 10000:1 contrast ratio projectors that were released more than two years ago is 300 ANSI lumens and the brightest is 20,000 ANSI lumens.

There are a number of other 3,500 ANSI lumens brightness multimedia projectors currently available that you might want to look at including the NEC M352 (£843.34) which has better reviews.

Data projectors with a brighter projector brightness that might be worth considering include the 1980WU (£1,346.73) (4,400 ANSI lumens and higher rated), or the 1985WU (£1,677.06) (4,800 ANSI lumens and higher rated) both from Epson.
