The H1086-3D is typical compared to the other 41 one year old 15000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that we have analysed for running costs. Based on average energy prices and usage levels, we estimate the H1086-3D will cost £93 over 1 year to run.

Over a Year Old

Unlike most of the other similar spec projectors that have been available for around the same time as the H1086-3D the H1086-3D supports Full HD projection.

There are a number of alternative data projectors which support Full HD projection that you might want to also look at including a higher Kagoo Rating™ projector such as the PJ WX4141N, or the [pl_2502937] both from Ricoh.

There are a number of different multimedia projectors with a Full HD projection which you might want to also look at including the LG BG630.

Supports 3D Image Projection

Like most of the other projectors of a comparable type and age to the H1086-3D, the H1086-3D supports 3D image projection.

We compared all the other data projectors which support 3D image projection to this projector and we think the S302, and the W301 both from Optoma or the Ricoh PJ WX4141N which have a better Kagoo Rating™ are also worth considering.

1080p (1920x1080) Native Projector Resolution

The highest resolution of the H1086-3D is 1080p (1920x1080). That's over two times the resolution of the most frequently found native projector resolution of WXGA (1280x800). Across all multimedia projectors that are older than a year the resolution ranges from SVGA (800x600) (worst) to WUXGA (1920x1200) (best).

We compared all the other multimedia projectors that have a resolution of 1080p (1920x1080) to this projector and we think a higher scoring projector such as the EH415 (£1,048.80), and the EH300 (£386.47) both from Optoma or the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 2030 are also worth considering.

If you are looking for a projector with a higher resolution then you might want to consider the Panasonic PT-EZ770 (£3,714.06) (WUXGA (1920x1200 and higher rated) and higher rated), the Optoma X401 (£689.20) (WUXGA (1920x1200 and higher rated) and higher rated), or the Epson EB-4850WU (£1,318.15) (WUXGA (1920x1200 and higher rated) and higher rated).
