Mr S K Marsh mentioned on expert website Amazon “I am however struggling to find native 4K streams on the Internet as the inbuilt YouTube app whilst good quality doesn't seem to”. Olha wrote “Great Ultra HD TV, I have been looking for a good quality television for some time” in their review of this TV and scored the product a maximum of 5 stars.

Very Slow High Frequency Rate

With a high frequency rate of only 100 hertz, the 40UB800 has one of the slower high frequency rates amongst 4K and 8K TVs of this age. Across all the comparable spec TVs that have been around for around the same time as this TV the high frequency rates range from 50Hz to 3,000Hz, and the average high frequency rate is 830Hz.

We compared this TV to all the other 100Hz refresh rate TVs and we think the Philips 55PUS7909/60 which has better reviews is also worth considering.

If you would prefer a television with a faster high frequency rate then you might want to look at the 65UF850 (200Hz and higher rated), or the 55UF850 (£579) (200Hz and higher rated) both from LG.
