Across all the TVs of a comparable age and spec to this TV the high frequency rates range from 50Hz to 1,600Hz, and the average high frequency rate is 200Hz. With a high frequency rate of only 60 hertz, the 50PFT4509 has a quite slow high frequency rate compared to most of the other medium display diagonal TVs that have been available for a similar time to this television.
We compared this TV to all the other 60Hz refresh rate televisions and we think the 47PFH5609/88, the 40PFS5709 (£469.99), and the 46PDL8908 all from Philips which all of have better reviews are also worth considering.
If you would prefer a faster high frequency rate then you might want to consider the TX-50A300 (£329) (100Hz and higher rated), or the TX-50AS520 (£299.99) (100Hz and higher rated) both from Panasonic or the Hisense LTDN50D36 (£322.65) (100Hz and higher rated).
