The high frequency rates of televisions of a similar age and type to the UE40C5100 range from 50Hz to 1,600Hz, and the average high frequency rate is 180Hz. When compared to other mid-size TVs that were released more than two years ago that we have checked, the high frequency rate of the UE40C5100 of only 50 hertz is one of the slowest.

We compared this TV to all the other 50Hz refresh rate TVs and we think the Toshiba 32L6353 which has better reviews is also worth considering.

If you want a faster high frequency rate then you might also want to look at the JVC LT-32C461 (£159.98) (60Hz), or the LG 49LB5500 (£289.00) (60Hz).
