With a maximum frame rate of only 15 frames per second, the LifeCam VX-800's maximum frame rate is one of the lowest amongst webcams that have been around for a comparable time to the LifeCam VX-800.

Very Low Megapixel

The lowest megapixel of webcams of a similar age and spec to the LifeCam VX-800 is 0.1MP, the highest is 20MP, and the average megapixel is 2.4MP. With a megapixel of only 0.3 megapixels, the LifeCam VX-800 has a quite low megapixel compared to most of the other webcams of this type and age.

We compared this webcam to all the other 0.3MP webcams and we think the Pyle PLCM38FRV which is cheaper is also worth considering.

If you would prefer a webcam with a higher megapixel then you might want to look at the HP 2100 (£23.89) (1.3MP and higher rated); or the V7 CS720A0-1E (£23.86) (1MP and cheaper), or the Kloner KWC0078 (£8.38) (1.3MP and cheaper).
